1997 Serosep Limited is founded in Limerick, Ireland
1998 Began life as distributor of laboratory diagnostic products.
2000 Began manufacture of HistoPot , Biopsy Fixation Solutions for Histopathology.
2002 Began development of the Precision water chemistry reagents.
2003 Launched Precision water chemistry reagents.
2004 Began development of EntericBio faecal/stool pathogen test kit for bacteria.
2009 EntericBio Strip based faecal/stool pathogen kit is launched, a 24 hour test.
2010 Fully automated production line is installed for high volume production of HistoPot to cope with increased demand for the product.

2012

October 2012 launched first EntericBio realtime Gastro Panel 1 diagnostic kit to detect Salmonella, Campylobacter, Shigella and VTEC (Verotoxin-producingEscherichia coli) within three hours. The new improved test provided results within 3hrs v 24hrs using the older EntericBio strip based assay.

The first routine user was Cork University Hospital, Cork, Ireland. This year also saw the beginning of Serosep UK Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary based in West Sussex, UK. The Royal Free Hospital, London becomes first UK based laboratory to routinely use EntericBio real time assay.

2013

EntericBio becomes routinely used in many clinical microbiology laboratories throughout Ireland. 75% of samples are tested using EntericBio in Ireland. Serosep Ltd launch HistoPot Mini.

2014

EntericBio gains market entry into Northern Ireland and UK. NHS Northern Ireland is awarded a multi-site three year tender, supplying Craigavon Area Hospital, Portadown and Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. EntericBio award major UK contracts with NHS Hospitals.

EntericBio Gastro Panel 2 real time diagnostic kit launched, consisting of Salmonella, Campylobacter, Shigella, VTEC (Verotoxin-producing Escherichia coli), Cryptosporidium and Giardia.

An estimated 85% of clinical microbiology laboratories in Ireland now using EntericBio real time assay Gastro Panel 2 and EntericBio C. Difficile in routine use. Customers began enjoying benefits of rapid detection in 3hours, no pipetting, no DNA extraction.

2015

EntericBio becomes routinely used in Holland and New Zealand laboratories. Building work commences for new state of the art laboratories at Serosep Ltd. R&D begins for the development of the next panel for EntericBio realime Gastro Panel 3.
