Reporting to the Technical Manager
Serosep Ltd., have a requirement for an applications and support scientist who will provide applications training & technical support to customers and distributors in a timely manner. This includes assisting in issues over the phone, on email and also visiting customers for training purposes or for those involved in customer trials or studies.
Main Duties:
- • Provide technical support to customers and distributors in a timely manner
• Ensure delivery of successful clinical trials and maintenance of clinical service at user sites
• Work with the service team to assist with equipment requirements including installations, servicing and interfacing of equipment
• Install equipment/IVD tests/software at end user clinical laboratories
• Onsite training of end user clinical laboratory customers.
• Execution and documentation of clinical verification studies
• Product troubleshooting
• Documentation and curation of all technical support data in accordance with the company’s quality system
• Ensure all documentation relating to products are up to date and maintained in accordance with the company’s quality system
• Review, respond and action customer emails on a daily basis
Essential Criteria:
- MSc in Biological Science, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or similar
- Good knowledge and understanding of Microbiology and Molecular Biology
- Full, clean driving license
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
- Must be able to work in fast paced environment
- Must be available to travel occasionally in Ireland/UK and overseas including overnight absences
- Flexible attitude in carrying out different types of work
- Personal work planning and organisational skills
