Job description

Serosep UK are welcoming applications for the position of Technical Sales Specialist. This will be an exciting and varied role supporting existing customers and generating new business across UK NHS Microbiology Departments, Veterinary Laboratories and Private Hospitals for the EntericBio Range of Real Time PCR assays for gastrointestinal pathogens and all distribution partner assays. The territory and candidate location is flexible but the candidate must reside in the UK currently and travel will be expected for customer visits, conferences with potential for overnight stays away from home. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast growing company with an exciting product range and would suit candidates looking to move from the clinical laboratory into a commercial role.

The Role

  • Conducting regular customer site visits to increase sales and opportunities
  • Build up in depth technical knowledge of Serosep products and services and competitor products
  • Answering and solving Technical or Commercial enquiries from customers in UK
  • Completing tenders, sales proposals in conjunction with UK Sales Lead and UK Managing Director
  • Help reach Serosep UK sales targets and strategic goals
  • Identify new market opportunities for increasing sales within sales territory
  • Attend relevant exhibitions across UK when required

 

Desirable Criteria

  • B.Sc or higher level qualification in Medical Microbiology or Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Infection Sciences
  • UK Resident with high level of English Language competence
  • Previous experience working as registered biomedical scientist desirable
  • Experience of working with molecular diagnostic methods such as real time PCR
  • Ideally, previous experience of medical diagnostics sales is desirable but full training would be given to outstanding candidates
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of business acumen
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
