Serosep meets the highest exacting standards ensuring each HistoPot container is integrity tested. A number of the HistoPot containers have even met the 95kPa test approval standard which is integral to our International success.

HistoPot is manufactured using a fully automated production line. Each HistoPot is tightened to a pre-set torque value and sealed consistently from batch to batch ensuring the integrity of fixative during shipping to our customers (no leakage of chemicals).

In the fields of histology, pathology and cell biology, fixation is a chemical process by which biological tissues are preserved from decay, thereby preventing on-going biochemical reactions.

Fixation is the single most important determinant of high quality histological sections. 10% neutral buffered formalin is the most widely used fixative for routine histology. There are many variables when using formalin as a tissue fixative.

HistoPot Polycube is the latest addition to the HistoPot range of sample containers. The Polycubes are packed in an easy-to-store stackable cube with a durable high – density polyethylene container. The 10L and 20L Polycubes offer all HistoPot users the same source of formalin throughout the histopathology process.

Every unit comes with a tap for easy dispensing which allows users to top-up smaller HistoPot units or fill their tissue processors with the same formalin that has been used for the fixation from the surgery.
